Marbles!

Someone asked me to make these polkadot drawstring bags for two sweet little girls, so they could keep their marbles in them. If you’re interested in these bags, feel free to contact me. I would gladly make them (or comparable ones) for you. The fabric I used for these marble bags is sold out, but there are many possibilities. Feel free to send me an e-mail! …

Empire dress

I have made the Empire Dress from minikrea, once before, for Emma’s birthday. I was browsing at Ansje Handmade and I came by this beautiful fabric, I couldn’t restrain myself! Now I made this new dress for Emma and she loves it! She goes around telling that I made it myself on the overlocker. I tell you, there is nothing more satisfying than making your own clothing, especially for your own child!…

Traditional skirt

This is what you call a traditional skirt. I made it for my education at the ENSAID Modevakschool (Fashionschool). I made it from scratch: measuring, drawing the pattern, laying the pattern on the fabric, and sewing. I am going to use it as a skirt for Christmas. Unfortunately, the waistband isn’t exactly what it was supposed to be, so I have to make it again. (A stern teacher, haven’t I? ;-)). The new skirt will be a bit more ‘sunny’. Curious? Keep checking my weblog!…

So addictive!

Again, I made two leggings from a Minikrea pattern. It’s so much fun! Especially now that I am beginning to master the serger/overlocker more and more. What is nicer than giving someone a handmade gift? And I can make tons of leggings for our own daughter Emma, of course. I have a new addiction!…

Birthday Dress

Our daughter is becoming two years already coming Sunday! That asks for a birthday dress, don’t you think? Anouck from Ansje Handmade made this possible by organising a workshop ‘Sew a dress’ in the shop of Achting Baby in Den Haag, with this lovely result. It was a nice workshop with nice people, good catering and the never ending sewing knowledge of Anouck. For sure, I will follow such a workshop again for another dress pattern. I know my way around this pattern a bit, so I will be able to work with it myself. I love it! Emma…

We’re going on a trip this weekend and I wanted to keep my e-reader safe and sound. I got behind my sewing machine and I made this e-reader cover of felt and skai leather. Are you interested in such a cover, or one for your tablet, please feel free to send me an email at info@nijvervlijt.nl. Everything is handmade, so any measurement is possible! I wish you all a nice weekend (in advance)!…
